Rashida Jones
Rashida Jones was born in Los Angeles,
California to Quincy Jones, a media mogul and producer, and Peggy Lipton,
Rashida is the younger sister of actress Peggy Lipton and Quincy Jones. Her
older sister is Kidada Jones, and five half-siblings through the other
relationships her father has with his children. Her father is African American
and her mother is Ashkenazi Jewish (a descendant of refugees from Russia and
Latvia). Rashida was raised Reform Judaism. Her birthplace was Bel Air, Los
Angeles. Jones has said of her parents of mixed race, "It was the 1970s
and it's still not acceptable for them to be in a relationship." Jones was
a professional actor when she made her debut on The Last Don, a mini-series in
1997 that was based on a novel written by Mario Puzo. In 1997, Rashida
graduated from Harvard University. In 1997, she attended the Buckley School,
Sherman Oaks, California. She was awarded the Most Likely to Succeed Award. The
name she uses is Arabic (O+-O'UO-O(c)) which means "Major adult, grown-up
or wise". In People Magazine's "50 most beautiful people" list.

producer, was previously engaged to her. Niece of Robert Lipton. She is
romantically linked to Josh Hartnett, Charlie Hunnam and John Krasinski. She
sang in a Tupac Shakur tribute song, which was written by Kidada Jones and her
sister. Kidada as well as her brother Quincy Jones III composed the song.
Quincy Jones III, their father, was also featured at the beginning of the song,
reciting Shakur's lines "Starry Night". Shakur's poem is the source
for the song's name. Rashida's father is African-American, but also has smaller
quantities of English, Scottish, and Welsh and Scottish the ancestry of which
is Welsh, Scottish, and English (some of his African family members were
descendants of the Tikar people from Cameroon). Rashida's mother is Ashkenazi
Jewish (of Russian Jewish and Latvian Jewish descent). Her maternal
grandparents, who were both of South Carolina, and Mississippi and Mississippi,
were her paternal grandparents. Her maternal grandfather was born in New York
and her maternal grandmother, who is of Eastern European Jewish descent, was born
in Dublin, Ireland. In the year 2009, she had played three different characters
as "Karen" in the classic sitcoms on television: Freaks and Geeks
(1999), Stella ((2005) and The Office ((2005)).
