Rose McGowan

 

Rosa Arianna "Rose", born September 5, 1973 is an American actress. McGowan made her film debut in 1992 with Encino Man (1992), and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award nomination in 1995 for her performance as the dark comedy The Doom Generation (1995). Her breakthrough came in the film horror Scream (1996) and later headlined the films Going All the Way (1997) Devil in the Flesh (1998) and Jawbreaker (1999). McGowan's role as Paige Matthews on the WB supernatural drama Charmed (2001-2006) was her most famous role. McGowan also appeared in Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's double-feature film Grindhouse (2007), for which she received nominations for the Saturn Award as Best Actress and for the Scream Award as Best Scream Queen. In 2014, she starred in Chosen the action-thriller show. The actress dropped Planet 9, her first album as a studio artist in the year 2018, and a repackaging came out in 2020. In 2017, Time acknowledged McGowan as one of the Silence Breakers, the magazine's Person of the Year for her stance on sexual harassment and assault particularly in relation to the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse cases and the Me Too movement. McGowan has published a memoir, Brave, and starred in the documentary series Citizen Rose, which consists of four parts. Citizen Rose, both in 2018.
