Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (born November 25 in 1968) is a Canadian actress and singer. Her most well-known work is her role on the American television show Law & Order, on which she played prosecutor Claire Kincaid for three seasons, and Crossing Jordan, on which she was the main character, Jordan Cavanaugh, for six seasons. She has also acted as an actress in films such RoboCop 3: Most Wanted, as well the independent films Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born in Edmonton, Alberta. John Hennessy was her father. He was a meat marketer and an executive in sales and marketing. The job involved many trips and led to frequent family moves. Maxine Her mother, also known as Maxine died in 1982. Her daughter was left in the care of Eleanor Her paternal grandmother. John Paul Hennessy Jr. is her younger brother. Jacqueline Hennessy is her identical twin sister. Jacqueline is a magazine writer in Canada. Hennessy is a mix of Irish, French French, Swedish and Italian origins from her father's side and predominantly Ukrainian Roma on the mother's. She was educated at Stanley Park Senior Public School and then graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute in Kitchener, Ontario and busked in the Toronto subway. Hennessy and her sister were among the first to appear as twin call girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. Gillian Anderson, who was the actress chosen to play the role, stated she was a finalist to play Dana Scully in The X-Files. The role was played by her for three seasons before she was fired in the year 1996.
