Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter was born July 23rd on the 23rd of July, 1970. Cordelia Chase was a character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural thriller series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also played Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's character in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013) as well as Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter was a student at the Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also part of a dance and song group which performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family moved to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) at the age of Carpenter was 15. She attended Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip across Europe after graduating. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, working as an aerobics instructor, property management, and as a clerk. She was a cheerleader with San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male acquaintances were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who tried to subdue them at gunpoint. In the midst of the struggle she and her two friends along with Hubbard were shot, causing him to flee the scene. Both of them were able to escape the assault. Hubbard was detained, convicted, sentenced to 56-years in prison for several sexual assaults. Carpenter grabbed Hubbard's flashlight an official police flashlight, off the beach. The flashlight was an important element of evidence against Hubbard.
