Emily Swallow

Emily Swallow (born December 18 1979) is an American actor from America. Her appearances in The Mentalist as Kim Fischer and Supernatural as Amara/The Darkness are her most well-known. She also is famous for her character of The Armorer on The Mandalorian, the Star Wars live-action series The Mandalorian. Emily was also involved in the game video The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born in Washington, D.C. on December 18, 1979. She grew up in Sterling, Virginia, and Jacksonville, Florida. While at Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville She began her acting career in a variety of college, amateur professional and amateur stage productions. She graduated in 2001 with a BA in Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Virginia, and followed that with an MFA in Acting from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.Swallow started her professional career on Broadway theatre and was a part of various productions, including High Fidelity, King Lear, The Taming of the Shrew, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie Theater, Much Ado About Nothing for Shakespeare in the Park, and the world premiere of off Broadway productions Romantic Poetry and Measure for Pleasure.In 2008, Swallow made her film debut in the military drama The Lucky Ones. She was a star in the world premieres of Donald Margulies’ play The Country House at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse. Also, she starred alongside Mark Rylance in Louis JenkinsThe play Nice Fish at Guthrie Theatre. [citation required] She was the winner of the Falstaff Award in 2010 for the best female actress for the part of Kate in The Taming of the Shrew. In 2012, Swallow and Jac Huberman collaborated on a stage show titled Jac N Swallow. It was presented at Joe's Pub and the Laurie Beeckman Theater in New York. The show revolves around their hilarious mishaps when they face different life situations.
