Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife as well as a nurse in Norway. Her birth date was April 25 of 1969 in Katy. Her father, Emil Erich Zellweger, is an engineer from Switzerland. The couple got married in 1963. Drew Zellweger was Renee's older brother. He is an executive in the field of marketing who was born on February 15, 1967. Renee was a part of the drama club in high school, and was interested in acting. She also took an acting course at the University of Texas (Austin) which was the first time she looked to pursue a career in acting. She wanted to pursue acting after graduation. But, Hollywood can be difficult to enter, so Renee chose to remain in Texas and audition for roles around Houston. At the time, she found roles in films like Reality Bites (1994), and Empire Records (1995). Matthew McConaughey (another Hollywood rising star) was her pal while she was working on the set of Texas Chainsaw Massacre II: The Next Generation (1994). Renee was aware that he was working on a project and auditioned. The role was given to her in Love , and the 45 (1994). The role was a huge success and earned her the respect of many that she relocated to Los Angeles. Then she was offered a part in The Whole Wide World (1996) which was the biggest break of her career. Cameron Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) starring Tom Cruise. Crowe was thinking about actresses such as Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei. He saw Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger, and felt certain he had found the perfect Dorothy Boyd. After her successes in a couple of independent films, Renee felt confident enough for her return to the large-budget Hollywood film industry. Meryl Streep was the co-star in One True Thing (1998).
