Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born in Dallas,
Texas, to Gayle (Gaston), the national director of Mary Kay, and Freddie
Wright, a pharmaceutical executive. Her home was San Diego, California. She
started her professional career when she was 14 working as a model. She has
worked in Paris, Japan and Paris. She decided to be an actor after graduating
from high school. She was included in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984),
which was nominated three more times for Daytime Emmys. She was in love with
Dane Witherspoon during the first season. They were married in 1986. In 1987,
she portrayed the role of the title character in The Princess Bride. She was in
the role of Santa Barbara but left to be a part of Denial (1990) with Jason
Patric. She was introduced to Sean Penn in 1990 while she was in State of Grace
(1990). They had their daughter Dylan Frances with him and the son was called
Hopper Jack. Robin came back to Hollywood after a break with one of her most
famous parts: Tara in The Playboys (1992). She was absolutely stunning and
amazing. In the following film, she played Toys (1992) in Toys (1992) alongside
Robin Williams, and she did a great job in her performance. Wright was in the
blockbuster success Forrest Gump (1994), co-starring with Tom Hanks. She was
nominated for a Golden Globe Award for her part in the film as Jenny. The film
offered her a small part in The Crossing Guard (1995) along with Jack
Nicholson. After being rejected for 14 roles, she finally got the title role in
MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). Pen Densham directed her and Stockard Channing
starred. Alongside William Hurt, she was then featured in Erin Dignam’s Loved
(1997).
